Application Process:
Non-profit organizations that meet eligibility criteria (see Eligibility and Guidelines) are welcome to submit a Letter of Inquiry (LOI). Bright Mountain Foundation (BMF) staff will review the letters and choose finalists to submit a full application. Grant applicants will be selected based on how closely the organization matches the eligibility requirements, the proposal's alignment with the foundation's funding priorities, strength of the proposed request, past grantee relationship, and resources available for the focus area. Selected applicant pool will reflect statewide focus. Those selected to submit a full proposal will be notified (see Grant Timeline & Deadlines).
Letter of Inquiry Guidelines:
LOIs should be no more than one page in length and include the following information:
- A brief overview of the organization's mission and/or the challenges addressed by the organization.
- Discussion of targeted population(s) including numbers served.
- Summary of the project to be funded and how it meets the target population's needs.
- A short review of program fit with the BMF's objectives.
- Statement of requested amount.
- Attached copy of the organization's most recent IRS 501(c)(3) determination letter.
Important Information:
- All organizations are required to submit a LOI regardless f whether they have received funding in the past.
- The LOI must be received no later than 3pm on the date due (see Grant Timeline & Deadlines) at the offices of the Bright Mountain Foundation - 1470 Walnut Street, Suite 201, Boulder, CO 80302.
- Faxed or emailed LOI’s will not be accepted.
- Late or incomplete LOI’s will be disqualified.
